Although I have the 120mHz version, 52XF550U, I wouldn’t recommend any Toshiba lcd tv’s. After a couple of months of use, a red pixel started to appear approximately 5 inches from the right panel, centered vertically. I called for support, and all they said that this was a “feature”; well, I call it a defect. I have a Sharp Aquos 32″ about 4 years old and a Pioneer 43″ plasma over 5 years old now, none of them have any problems. Stick with Sony, Sharp or Pioneer but stay away from Toshiba or you’ll be stuck with their “features”.

I bought this tv from amazon at the sale price last week of 1199, with free shipping. that part of it was great. I ordered on Monday, and it was delivered by Friday! I was so excited to have this tv over the weekend. But no more than an hour ago (1 day of Owning it!) the screen went blank and there are 3 yellow blinking lights that repeat (its still doing it now!) The TV will not turn back on. This lead me to research what I can on the web for others with the same experience. If you google “Toshiba TV 3 yellow blinking lights” you get some stories that are similar to my experience. I cant say that I will never buy another toshiba product, but I will definitely second guess it now. I am in the process of seeing if I can get Amazon to take the TV back. Otherwise, I will go to the Credit Card Company.
Good luck to all in your search for the perfect TV’s!

Got the Toshiba Regza 52 From amazon. I had an option between this one and Samsung 46′. I opted for Toshiba for the same price a size bigger with free shipping! It came on time, no damage, works amazing. Great picture. Worth every penny !

Bought the Toshiba as it was best price point for its size, also liked the fact it has auto adjusting brightness and sound for the room its in and when light changes it changes.
Very bright picture on HDTV channels, regular cable TV does not look so good at 52″ size, but when a good HDTV or DVD signal, fantastic picture.
Also, it auto adjusts picture size. though I did do some tweaking when it first arrived to get best picture with all signal inputs.
I bought it with Toshiba DVD Regza, it interfaces automatically with this DVD, but it is not easy and it takes some understanding.
Hooked TV up to my Pioneer Elite audio system, Pro Logic IIx, 5.1, 7.1, they all work, theater quality sound, and my Pioneer remote operates everything after programming the codes, very nice.
Hooked up a spare computer directly to TV, so have a huge monitor now too.
Cons: You get what you pay for when you get free shipping, CEVA lost the TV twice, tried to cancel order but Amazon came through after 3 phone calls to India (there call center) and made me happy.
No Picture in Picture
Do see some artifacts when watching Earth and they pan large landscapes, etc.
