if you choose digital .. then only digital will play .. you cannot do analogue and digital at the same time …. and you must connect the video card to the hdav 1.3 via hdmi so that it can supply both video and audio to your reciever ….
hello:) i’ve got a problem. i bought HDAV 1.3 and te question is: 1. can i play ONLY sound via HDMI out on HDAV 2. or i must connect video from VGA to HDMI in and then from HDMI out to HDMI in reciever, finally from AVR to monitor IN? 1 or 2? greets:)
wtf there is no point of having master audio on those shitty speakers.
yep ,
hdmi from asus mars edition gtx295 to xonar sound card to onkyo 7.1 receiver to 70-inch LCD rear projection TV
i’m runing windows 7 ultimate 64-bit with all the latest drivers of my custom PC components .
is your system hooked up via hdmi?
hello friend (wow it’s been 4 months already
:
so i bought TMT3 platinum and the picture of the SD and HD movie files that are stored on hard disk are AMAZING … but when i played a blu-ray movie DVD the picture went dark like it’s shifted from limited range RGB to full range RGB and so in order to view the dark scenes of the movie i had to increase the brightness of my TV which sadly ruined my perfect picture settings balance
so did that also happend to you when playing blu-ray ?
If your setup is using the hdmi hookup, the sound you are hearing is the switching on of the device… it is clicking sound you hear directly from the card itself. Any other sound you are troubled with you would have to be more specific. I have no trouble whatsoever with my system. Running Windows 7 Ultimate 64 with no complications. : )
When you switch on the computer and the pc is entering into the windows, the audio card makes some kind of noise?
I have the Xonar hdav 1.3 and I don’t know if is normal. In my case the noise appears when the computer is entering into the windows, when I switch between the speakers and the headphones line and before the computer shuts down. Is this normal?
Yes my speakers are connected to an amp… for the size of the room their powerful enough. This audio card is totally awesome … the speakers maybe made by creative but I’ll never buy another audio card by creative .. I don’t miss all the pops and cracks
You said that you’re only using the sub as a subwoofer. Does that mean that the speakers are connected directly to a receiver?
Yes it does work with vista sp2 and windows 7, but you have to install the asus TMT3 (139) and install the 17.75 Win7 driver. The firmware will flash to the HD1.11, and all is well
and you know this because……….. for the size of the room these speakers perform remarkably ……….. when heard by the human ears I get responses like WOW those little speakers sound so crisp and clear and the base is punchy. I am not using the amp that came with them … and the sound through my system is very clean
I mean, this speakers are not for hi-fi purpose. Build a sistem based on AVR risiver and good hi-fi speakers. That`s what you need.
what do you mean …………………..
Change this speakers for the start.
Well to tell you it sounds so much cleaner then using analogue, My amp registers 96khz, and I’m so happy with the output. Since this video I’ve upgraded to windows 7 and have the full meal deal from the card.
If you’re using an HDMI cable to output the sound, you’re not using the great DACs of that soundcard.
just a liteon bd/hd/ combo drive that I picked up at satacomputer, very cheap
btw your movie runs nicely what blu-ray drive do you use ?
hmm actualy mine is 1920 x 1080p and 120hz and i still had to resize the native resolution
BUT BEHOLD MY NEXT SCREEN UPGRADE :
Philips Quad Full Autosteroscopic 3D HDTV and it’s GLASSES-FREE 3D DISPLAY so won’t have to look like a child with glasses when you watch movies or hardcore games on top of that the resolution is 3840×2160p and they run about $25000 in some reviews .
so i’m gonna start feeding my piggy banks until the big sacrificial day
that’s what I am talking about, you had to resize it to fit your screen. try getting 1920 x 1080p. What is the native resolution for you screen? you maybe alble to fix it via your tv controls, some allow you to adjust automaically the screen resolution and aspect ration. the only projectionn screens that I’ve seen that work beautifully are the ones that you need a wall screen, but they are costly. if you ever buy another screen make sure it has a native resolution of 1920 x 1080p and 120hz.
i’m replying to you through it via dvi to hdmi cable on my current 7600GS video card and the picture is the best realistic sharp and superp image i’ve seen so far compare to other LCD panels exept for the laservue by mitsubishi which is for USA region
though i had to resize the resolution to 1808×1004 from nvidia control panel to fit the whole screen and my TV model is : KS-70R200A
I hope the rear projection screen works good for you…. I’ve had no luck with them. could never get the right resolution, like with you can with a lcd. Maybe they’ve made improvements on them. Have you ever hooked your computer up to one via the hdmi or dvi?
I bought the Platinum, it was the top of the ladder. Since then I’ve never used Cyberlink or WinDvd again. The HD sound and pic was very important to me. Also cyberlink loads extra useless stuff on startup and hijacks all media. Windvd has a nice picture but doesn’t have the HD sound. Go for the best at the moment … Arcsoft …… this is all my opinion Bert
So do you recommend TotalMedia Center 3 platinum or gold Edition ?
