How do I properly set up my Comcast DVR cable box and my DVD player to my TV?
I mean, obviously I can hook everything up but I’m having a strange problem. I have the cable boxes red/white/yellow/green/blue cords in the back of my TV, and everything works fine. When I plug my DVD player into the side RVC inputs it reduces the volume of the cable…even when the DVD player isnt on. Anyone know why?
At my parents’ house the cable box goes into the DVD player, which then connects to the TV.
Running a DVD player into a TV with component inputs through RCA cables will reduce your video quality and defeats the purpose of having the component inputs, so although I’m not sure why the volume goes down I’d recommend that you don’t use RCA. RCA is for college kids like me to hook the xbox up to the Walmart budget TV’s.
