Connector Satellite Dish
Does this job of installing Satellite dishes sound profitable?
Here is the story. I’ve been talking to a Directv installation company and they want me to work for them as a subcontractor installing dishes and programing receivers. The pay is that I get 65 for each dish and 15 for each addition Receiver past 1. They pay extra if you install hi fi or can up sell past the basic install (add outside poles, fish wires through walls) or . They pay for upgrades and service calls as well ($25-$30). They also carry Workman’s comp and liability insurance for 6.9% of your paycheck. They give 3 installs a day and are working 6 days a week. Bad side is that I have to pay all expenses: wiring, grommets, connectors, gas for my truck, tools, ETC. Does this sound like a good rate for this type of job? What can I expect to make
I think it’s a pretty good deal in view of so many Americans unemployed. The expenses like wiring, grommets, etc. you incur for the installation are tax deductible when you file Schedule C – Profit and Loss from Business on your tax returns. Take the job and start making money.
