Flat Hdmi Gold
How much should I pay for an HDMI gold-plated cable?
I have a 42 inch, flat screen tv and was told to get HDMI gold-plated cable to enhance the HD quality………I heard someone say that some run over $100, but that I wouldn’t need to pay any more than $40. Anyone know if that sounds about right?
Actually, NASA only uses gold plated cables, so yes there is a difference.
The biggest thing to look for in an HDMI cable is the bandwidth it has.
Todays tv’s need at least 5-10 GBS. Most of the cheap HDMI do not
have ratings, because they are selling you something for old technology(720p/1080i). When an HDMI cable fails-and they do
quite often, people believe it is the tv or cable/satellite company.
Here is how you tell if someone is giving you the wrong information
1.) they say all cables are the same.
2.) they claim to be tv experts
3.) they claim to be tv technicians (it’s always like 20-30 years-never like 5-10 years)
4.)they talk about contrast ratio being a way to judge the quality
of a tv.
5.)they respond to this answer in an animate, defensive way.
