Hdmi Amplifier Switch
HDMI switcher with an amplifier or equalizer?
I am getting a HDMI switcher for my old LCD tv. Basically I need something that can switch/enhance HDMI signal cz’ my HD cable box is about 20 ft away from the TV.
Some units come with an ‘amplifier’; some come with a ‘equalizer’….I am just wondering if they mean the same thing. What specifications shall I look into if I need the signal to be enhanced?
What ever causes you to think you need “equalization” or even “amplification” on a 20 ft HDMI cable? Buy a well made HDMI cable with at least 24 AWG wire and gold plated connectors and forget the other “stuff”. You don’t need it.
