High Speed Hdmi
i bought a philips high speed HDMI wire for my xbox 360?
but it wont work . what am i doing wrong?
Make sure the cable is firmly connected to your TV and 360. If the connection is OK, double check what input you have the cable connected to on your TV, and make sure the TV is set to that input (e.g. “Aux 8″.) Most TVs today have at least 4 inputs, or even as many as 10.
It will take a few seconds for the 360 and TV to synchronize the signal, but then you should see the 360′s dashboard on your TV.
If not, it could be the cable, the TV or the 360.
First, try a different cable. It that makes things work, then you got a bad cable (it happens.)
If that doesn’t fix the problem, try swapping the 360 out for a different device that uses HDMI AND you know works – like a upscaling DVD player or PS3 or HD cable/satellite box. Use the Philips HDMI cable. If that works, then it’s the 360′s HDMI port. You’ll have to call Microsoft about getting it repaired. If a known working HDMI cable and known working device still won’t work on that port, then it’s your TV that’s the problem.
