Inch Panasonic Lcd
i have a panasonic 32 inch LCD HDTV,and an hd dvd but its on 480p, how do i change it to 1080p or 1080i?
i tried menu but it soesnt have any choices to change it, i know its 480p or 480i because it pressed recall and it sais what resolution it is. when i watch movies on my hd dvd or xbox 360 games even on component hd, its still 480p. and my HDTV certainly goes up to 1080p, http://www.bestbuy.ca/catalog/proddetail.asp?logon=&langid=EN&sku_id=0926INGFS10086668&catid=23244
FIRST, you need to check the settings on your DVD….the TV automatically sets itself for the highest resolution AVAILABLE to it….
NEXT, your DVD DISC…..if all it puts out is 480P…don’t expect 1080i out of the DVD….
BUT….I really think your DVD player is set to output 480P rather than 1080….
A good way to test this is to get/rent an HD-DVD, play it, then observe the resolution settings….
