Logitech Z-5500 5.1 Surround Sound System connection issue to my VAIO AR21-S Laptop.?
Ive just bought a “Logitech Z-5500 THX-Certified 505-Watt 5.1 Digital Surround Sound Speaker System” At the moment im using a direct stereo cable from my laptop to the system but this way i cant use the THX, Dolby Digital and DTS features.
My Laptop AR-21 has a optical out port so Im guessing if I get a fiber optic audio cable and use a toslink optical cable adapter to connect to my laptop’s optical out (because there isnt normal optical out on VAIOS). Would this work? OR is there any other way?
Any help would be much appreciated, thanks!
If your laptop has an Optical Out, why in hell are you not using it? Purchase that Toslink adapter and that cable and get some digital audio to those beautiful speakers! I don’t see why it wouldn’t work.
