Please Help. LCD TV Decision!?

Im debating on buying one of these 2 LCD TV’s but I cant make a decision, the First one is 52″ (6 inches larger) and comes with a 4 year best buy warantee. But does not have a ethernet hookup for tv integrated internet programs.. It also has a Dynamic contrast ratio of 10,000:1 Here is the link:

The second one is a 46″ which is newer comes with ethernet hookup for internet programs such as youtube and can also access home network… it has a dynamic ratio of 150,000:1 which is much higher than the first one..

The price difference: The first one would cost me $950 and the second one (smaller one) would cost me $1250. Here is the link to the second one:

HDMI Cables?

I am building a home theater system currently and I’m not sure what sort of HDMI cables i need (if they even differ). The television i have bought is a 52 inch Samsung Series 6 120hz LCD 1080pHD-TV. I also have an LG 5.1 1080p Digital Surround sound home theater speaker system with wireless rear-end speakers. The last component to the home theater system is of course my playstation 3 acting as a gaming console and the blu-ray player. I was told at the store since i was buying a 120 hz tv iw ould need some special HDMI cables, which are “high speed” in order to maximize the ps3’s output. What might these cables be? Do i need anything special for my audio system as well?

Hey guys, I have a 52-inch Hitachi projection TV, not lcd or plasma, but good ol’ fashioned projection.

now im getting an xbox 360 soon and i need you guys to confirm for me (before I regret it) … if i hook up my game system to the tv, am I guaranteed to get a burn-in image into my screen?? If it is likely that I will ruin my bigscreen by doing this, I will connect to my other tv which is old and crappy, but that’s a compromise i’m willing to make if it means that i’m not ruining the bigscreen. Thanks a lot guys.

Enhancing your HDTV Display. (Help).?

Hello. I need some help. I have a Sony KDL-52Z5100 (52 Inch, 1080p, 240hz w/ Motionflow, LCD) TV. I had Comcast as my cable TV provider but noticed that they do not have that many HD channels for the money you pay, and that their HD channels are not that great in display quality. So I switched to DishNetwork and now I have much more HD channels and the HD channels look a lot better in quality….BUT….I’m wondering if there is a way to enhance the display of HD in my TV to look better? I’m sure that my TV can show better/crisper quality on the HD channels from my satellite provider. Is there a way to do this? Don’t get me wrong, the HD channels from Dish look good on my TV, but when I pop a blu-ray in it’s like night and day! I’ve looked for display tweaks for my TV on google, but can’t find any yet.
Connection: HDMI

To clarify, I want to connect my Dish/DVR box to my television through the cable wire it comes with, and connect my Wii to the TV with the AV cables (red, yellow, and white wires) and connect my TV to the Home Theater Box (which is also a Sony Bravia product), so anytime I watch TV on Dish Network or play Wii, all the sound will come through the surround sound speakers?

TV- Sony Bravia 52-inches (Model# KDL-52)
Home Theater System- Sony BRAVIA Theater System (Model# DAV-HDX285)

Thanks!

Which TV should I purchase?

A few months ago I bought a 46-inch Samsung 750 LCD. That is currently in the family room. However, I would like to move that into the master bedroom, but now I need another (preferably larger) TV to go into the family room. Here are what I have in mind:

52-inch Samsung 750 – $1999.98
52-inch Samsung 850 – $2249.98
52-inch Sony XBR6 – $2369.99

Which one do you think is the best deal?

Pictures of HDTV’s in natural settings?

I’m thinking about getting a new HDTV, around 50 – 52 inches. I was wondering if anyone had personal pictures of a 50 inch in their living rooms or homes. It’s easier to tell how it will look than just by looking at stock photos. If you could link to a site with pictures of 50, 52 inch plasma and lcds that would be great too.

Deciding between Samsung and Philips TV?

Which tv in 52 inches would you say is better?
I’m in between Samsung LN52A860 52 inch Series 8 Slim 1080p LCD and Philips Eco 7000 full HD 52 inch. The only difference I know is that Philips tv is friendly to environment which is important. Is there anything else? And which one would you buy? (The prices are almost the same)
