PANASONIC BLU-RAY PLAYER. Why will only the logo appear when connected to an HDMI?
I just purchased a Panasonic blu-ray player, but when I connected it to my Viore TV with an HDMI cable the logo will appear, then disappear and nothing will happen. The blu-ray player will show that it is in setup mode, but the TV will not show it. I think there is a problem with the settings of either my TV or the player. I have plugged the HDMI cable into several ports on the TV, and I am on the right channel. How can I use my blu-ray player and HDMI cable???
Start by setting your BDP to output 480p and set the TV to “auto” if it has such a setting. This is the easiest resolution which engages HDMI protocols. If that succeeds, try 720p and 1080i and 1080p, in that order. If any of these fails, you may have an incompatibility between the BDP’s output and the TV’s input.
