Plug Audio Headphone
my headphone jack is stuck as having something in it, therefore i cant use my speakers?
i have a Dell inspiron 1420 laptop and i have a sigmatel audio system installed in it. now the problem i am having is that i dont have sound coming out of the integrated speakers. this is being caused by the fact that when you plug headphones into the computer it stops the speakers and only put audio to the headphones, BUT now when i take out my headphones it still thinks that headphones are plugged in so i cant hear any audio from my speakers anymore. any tips?

Sounds like ya have gunk in yer jack. Or, you’ve tortured the jack in yer laptop till it’s cried “Uncle”.
Let’s hope fer gunk. Find a tech who knows what contact cleaner is. Spray a SHORT aerosol burst into the headphone jack on yer DELL. Then run yer headphone jack in and out a few times, to excersise and clean the contacts.
