Prog Scan Dvd
Problem with Philips HDTV w/Prog. Scan, can you help?
My Phillips HDTV TV has faint lines when the screen is dark and the edges of the screen are a bit blurry (can. The lines seem to run a bit diagonal going up from left to right. The screen is the same whether I am watching cable or a DVD. There are no other magnets or speakers around it.
Did you check all connections to make sure they were tight? You said it happens with DVD and cable both. Is the cable hooked up through the DVD or is the DVD player hooked up through the cable box? Did you try unhooking one or the other to see if either of them are the problem?
Also, do you have any cordless phones sitting on top of the tv? Cordless phones are magnets.
Other than this, unplug it for about 10 minutes and plug it back it. The board in the TV will reset itself anbd possibly clear up the problem. You will need to re-autoprogram again if you don’t have a cable box.
