Is there a real differences between LCD and Plasma TVs because my budget is 1500$ and I have PlayStation 3,
Some of my friends advise me for LCD and some say that plasma TVs are more clearer when you view receiver channels on them

Two words for plasma.. BURN IN. If you will be playing games you want an LCD.. I just got a 47″ LG HDTV 1080p (which you want) and I have a PS3 and an XBOX360.. It is an LCD so there is no glare.. It is f*cking fantastic!
It was $1300.
Apart from better contrast due to its ability to show deeper blacks, plasma screens typically have better viewing angles than LCD. Viewing angles are how far you can sit on either side of a screen before the picture’s quality is affected. You tend to see some brightness and colour shift when you’re on too far of an angle with LCDs, while a plasma’s picture remains fairly solid.
50 inches and higher definitely go plasma.
you wont find a good resolution and ratio for 1500 for that price.
plasmas are more expensive, more vivid, but the glare much more in sunlight, and the viewing angle is usually better. also if you have a still picture on it for a while it might mess it up (although they have screen savers for that reason)
lcds are cheaper and dont glare
Plasma needs a darker room but in my opinion has a better picture. You have to be careful with a plasma as far as leaving an image on there for a long period of time (eg. Video game paused) it can burn that image into the screen. An LCD can view much better in a lighter room. If you have a normal room with windows open and light shining in a LCD is a better choice plus you cannot burn an image onto the screen. Good Luck.
get LCD, wayy better than plasma, plasmas can burn out and break if you leave them on for too long
I do have an LCD .But I got bored with it. My suggestion is go for 52″ TV.I hold Diploma in cinematography.
