Sharp Aquos 52 inch LCD 720?

I recently purchased a Sharp Aquos 52 inch LCD 720. When connecting a Blu Ray via HDMI y can see quality but not in such detail. Might I have not configured the tv or blu ray to the proper settings? Any help? Thanks

Without being able to see your tv picture, and I’m assuming you are using a Blue Ray movie that is actually recorded in hi-def, I’m guessing its because you only have a 720p tv.
A 1080p will show incredibly sharp with a blue ray movie.
Regular movies on a blue ray player get upsampled to whatever the tv can support so its not as sharp.
