Plasma break easier. The screen can loose its pixels
LCD is the best to get right now. More sturdy.
Trust me my plasma broke and it was only like 1 year old. I am so happy with my LG 50″ LCD TV
plasma is the best so far. right after plasma is DLP (digital light projection), then lcd. there are many different kinds, but those are the top three that you can get.
I have heard only bad things about the life span of Plasma tvs, I would go with the LCD.
LCD TV ia better choice.LCDs were sporting features long the domain of plasma: bigger screens, greater contrast ratios, thinner and cheaper sets. LCD picture quality still failed to reach plasma levels, but to average consumers, the difference was no longer obvious.LCDs less power consumption and last longer.
At that size…Plasma, for sure!
Plasma TV’s have the highest contrast ratio’s(2,000,000:1) and fastest refresh rates(600hz) which make them ideal for fast motion content like sports & movies!
A lot of people say that Plasma’s don’t last long, that they suffer from burn-in, and have major screen glare. That was the case many years ago! Today, Plasma TV’s can last up to 30 yrs before losing half their contrast, and burn-in is no longer a major problem…and neither is screen glare! Just see the website linked below for the FACTS!
I own a Panasonic 42″ Plasma TV for which i watch a lot of sports & movies and i can say that the picture quality is outstanding! The sharpness and contrast between blacks & whites is unreal!!!
