What is the differnce B/w R,B,G RCA cables vs. W,Y, R color cables?
Im buying RCA cables and am about to buy Red Blue and Green RCA cables for my TV, but is this ok to as a substitute for the Yellow, red, and white RCA (female) outlets in my TV? If this is good then which colors go with which?
You might notice, on many (but not all) Red/White/Yellow cables, that the Yellow cable is slightly thicker than the Red and White. Video cables should be better quality than audio cables because they have to pass higher frequencies, but for short distances (I’d say 6 feet is ok) you can substitute them.
Using the Red/Blue/Green component video cables (which sounds like what you are saying you plan to do) will put audio signals on video cables, which is better than the other way around.
With Red/Blue/Green cables, I would use Red for the right audio channel (plugging into Red jacks on both ends), Blue for the left audio channel (to White jacks on both ends), and Green for the composite video channel (to Yellow jacks on both ends).

Red/White/Yellow is stereo audio with composite video:
Red = Right audio channel, White (sometimes black) = Left audio channel, Yellow = Composite video channel.
Red/Blue/Green is component video (the components are combined into one signal in composite video):
Red = the Pr (or R-Y) video component, Blue = the Br (or B-Y) video component, Green = the Y video component. Component video gives better image quality than composite video.
