Can i get an adaptor for a red and white RCA connection?
I want to plug my tv and iPod docking station into my stero but i only have one set of red and white RCA (female jacks) on the back of my stereo. Because both the iPod dock and TV use red and white plugs and there is only one set of Audio in plugs. I need to know if i can get an adaptor so i can plug both in at the same time. It is a pain pulling swapping them when i want to use the other device. Please help.
If I’m picturing correctly what you’re trying to do, you want to be able to switch between your devices without unplugging them. If that is so, Radio Shack has some A/V switch- boxes that could take care of that problem for you. I ended up getting the 2 switch unit (cat. no. 15-1982) to switch between my CD player and turntable preamp combination. Since my receiver has no turntable input, I had to go this route. It works fine – problem solved. I think that they have these all the way up to 4 switches. On the back of these you’ll see that there are audio and video inputs, which means that you can use them for either audio or video or both. It doesn’t matter.
