How thick are the rubber pads needed to fix the Xbox 360 Disc Scratch Problem?
My concole is making loud noises and scratching 5the disc when in operation. I want to add the rubber pads to my cd drive to hopefully fdix this problem. I just need to know what thickness of foam rubber to use.
My warranty is already voided.
I dont want to purchase the kit, I have relativley good electronics knowledge. I just need to know the proper thickness of foam to use.

Don’t use rubber, use foam. Rubber has a lot of friction and can stop your disc while the foam is more slick.
