Why does my headset muted when the speakers muted?
I just bought a headset with a microphone. When I plugged the cables that had been labeled Microphone and Headphones, there’s no notification pops up…I tested the headphone, I muted the computer speakers, the headphone was muted too! When I un-muted the pc speakers, I can hear well with the headphones!!! Its really weird…
Can anyone give me a help with these please….
How are you muting?
If you are muting from the desktop, it won’t play any sound when muted (either through speakers or headphones).
If you are turning off the speakers (via a knob on the actual speaker) and the headphones are muting, then you do have a conundrum on your hands.
I think it is the former though! Turn off the speakers by unplugging them or turning down their volume on the speakers (not the computer).
