Stereo Bluetooth Wireless
when will audio and video just be wireless? in the days of bluetooth/wifi, we still use cables for tv/stereo?
The technology exists to have every audio and video component in our home be wirelessly connected to each other. The problem is that it’s not all that practical.
The biggest hindrance to a completely wireless system is the connection from the amplifier/receiver to the speakers. The speakers need a powerful signal to operate, which is what the amplifier provides. If the audio signals were sent wirelessly, you would need a powered receiver and amplifier at the speaker itself to pick up the signal and drive the speaker. That would require you to either use batteries (cumbersome and impractical) or have an outlet handy for plugging the speakers in to power them. And, that pretty much defeats the purpose of having wireless speakers.
