Swivel Plasma Lcd
Thinking about getting a new TV, wait or are these nice?
I’m looking for a new TV over my old 32inch Samsung found here: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16889102127
I’m a pretty heavy gamer and know that Plasma is the best for picture quality, though I don’t want the glare. My question really is, should I wait and save up for a 240 Hz or just choose between these:

It is 240 Hz, but I’m curious as to why it’s price so reasonably cheap.

Both of those are great options. They are both strong quality manufacturers and both are quality models. You won’t go to far wrong with either.
In TVs of over 40″ and more so 50″ (which those are nearing) you want the 120Hz or 240Hz options. It can help mask the inherent motion problems of LCD technology (motion blur/ghost trails). You do start to notice it in bigger sets, so you want the advanced feature to hide it as best possible.
I don’t know the specific model numbers off by hand, but another to look out for, as a serious gamer, is the LG HDTVs which have a really small response time. They do have some sets marked as 2.4ms response time. Those might be strong choices. But you’ll have to do some homework to find those models. Though the one you already have flagged looks pretty sweet.
LG is always fairly competitively priced. Because of its quality and the competitive pricing, it makes LG quite often a very good choice for your HDTV buy. And sometimes Best Buy just has great sales. I couldn’t believe some of the prices they had during the Father’s Day sales event, it was nuts. I’m not sure how they actually do it, but they do.
