An ~ 1 inch wide plastic border completely surrounds the black plastic face of this tv. Its “sandwiched” in place by the front and rear molded plastic panels of the TV.

We are looking to spend approximately $1500 on a new LCD television. Preferably, we would like to have a 52″ with 1080p and a high contrast ratio. Any suggestions for specific television brands, models and places to purchase will be much appreciated.
