I just bought a 52 inch Plasma Samsung (720p) Because I got a great price on the floor model but when I got it home and hooked it up to my satellite it looked really bad. I don’t have an HD box yet so I thought was the problem but It still looked bad with the Wii & Xbox. I wonder, Is the tv bad quality or is it just my set up. Should I take it back & get an LCD? I don’t really need such a big tv but I thought this was a good deal.
Note: I am a gamer & watch a lot of action movies. Which one has a better picture without motion blur? This one has a lot of motion issues.
In 2008 I purchased a 60 Inch Samsung DLP as a gift to myself for my 21st Birthday. 1 Year and 3 days later it went out. $2,500 down the drain. I was irretated beyond believe. Samsung told me it is out of warranty, we will give you a replacement at a discounted price. They gave me a 52 Inch LCD at $1599.99 down from there advertised price of $1999.99. After I bought it, 1 week later they dropped the price on it to $1599.99. That was funny to me. So I have had this tv now for 6 Months or so and its starting to give me some problems. Im going to sell it to a tech friend and he can do as he pleases. Which means for the THIRD time in 2 years I am in the market for a new TV. I have basically spent $4,000 in 2 years so I am not wanting to spend alot. I am going the Plasma route this time, after DLP and LCD werent good to me.
I have 2 TV’s in mind and only 2.
A LG and a Panasonic. I want to know which one I should get and why. I want some answers from people that have owned or do own or have worked on them, or are tech guru’s. i would perfer an unbiased answer as I dont want to drop $2,000 for a 6 month TV.
Please help me….
Heres links to the 2 TV’s at HHgregg I am looking at. The guy at HHgregg told me to go with LG. A couple tech friends said go Panasonic.

According to market research DIGITIMESResearch observation, the first half of 2009 Samsung Electronics (Samsung) Side light type LED backlight LCDTV caused by hot, Japan and plants means that the second half of the 2009 launch of LED backlighting LCDTV new price will be toward more competitive White LED structural development. DIGITIMESResearch pointed out that the recent Japanese works, such as Sharp (Sharp), Sony (Sony), Toshiba (Toshiba) have published the second half of 2009 program listed LED backlight LCDTV, Samsung LEDTV evident by the low-cost, low-price strategy for effective influence, Japan plants developed LEDTV product specifications and the previous generation models showed significant difference. Sharp’s development of LED components for nearly 40 years old, ran the 2008 (inclusive) before the introduction of the LED backlighting LCDTV models was limited, and the positioning in the ultra-high-end products. However, in August 2009 listed on the LED backlight Sharp LCDTV point of view, its product development strategy has shifted significantly, a large number of import direct type white LED design, size, covering 32 ~ 52-inch, and the price higher than the Samsung Side light type LEDTV cheaper. However, the new LED backlight LCDTV Sharp does not control technology into the region, and the thickness and CCFL type LCDTV similar, can allow consumers to feel the product differentiation, product positioning for the existence of terror worries. Sony then released last month on September 7 model ZX5’s Side light type white LEDTV, backlight module structure and Samsung Side light type LEDTV the same, different is that Sony46-inch and 52 inch respectively, the thinnest at only 15. 8mm, 16. 6mm , while the Samsung LEDTV thickness of 29. 9mm. Sony ran in November of this two products will be available priced at 55 million yen (about 5,942 U. S. dollars), 65 million yen (about 7,023 U. S. dollars), higher than the Samsung is about the same size LEDTV times more than a plus SonyLED regardless of backlight LCDTV In the panel or LED backlight supply, more than from S-LCD (Sony joint venture with Samsung Electronics) and the Samsung LED, Samsung is now faced with LED backlight LEDTV tight supply problem, fear of SonyLED backlit LCD shipments caused by crowding. Another Japanese Toshiba LCDTV industry, in June 2009 since the launch of the new LED backlight LCDTV can be described as the making of their debut. The company LEDTV backlight module structure with the same Sharp are all using direct type white LED design, different in that there are equipped with regional control technology, in June, July 46-inch and 55-inch-market prices as high as 5,511 dollars, 6,613 dollars, However, LED backlighting LCDTV Toshiba to expand sales in just 2 to 3 months, also had to cut prices to adopt a positive action, a decline of up to 2,000 dollars. DIGITIMESResearch that from the above-mentioned Japanese plants introduced new LED-backlit LCDTV can see, more or less affected by the Samsung LEDTV, and a large number of a more affordable white LED as a backlight source, LED backlit Ran Japanese factories such as Samsung LCDTV product positioning it as a clear LEDTV , or whether the price for general consumer acceptance, the future of the Japanese plants in the LED backlight LCDTV market competition should focus on the direction of the time.
