I’m looking for a brand new TV and need some opinions. I’m looking to spend around 2,000 and wanna get a 52 – 54 inch.
I’m just not sure about DLP, LCD, 1080i,1080p and all that technical stuff. I use my TV for movies, sports and Games(X-Box 360).
Any help Welcome!!!

Hello. I need some help. I have a Sony KDL-52Z5100 (52 Inch, 1080p, 240hz w/ Motionflow, LCD) TV. I had Comcast as my cable TV provider but noticed that they do not have that many HD channels for the money you pay, and that their HD channels are not that great in display quality. So I switched to DishNetwork and now I have much more HD channels and the HD channels look a lot better in quality….BUT….I’m wondering if there is a way to enhance the display of HD in my TV to look better? I’m sure that my TV can show better/crisper quality on the HD channels from my satellite provider. Is there a way to do this? Don’t get me wrong, the HD channels from Dish look good on my TV, but when I pop a blu-ray in it’s like night and day! I’ve looked for display tweaks for my TV on google, but can’t find any yet.
Connection: HDMI

Currently right now i have connected all 3 hdmi cables connected to each device. dvd player to hdtv, saltellite receiver to hdtv, and ps3 to hdtv.

When i turn off dvd player the sound comes back on. Havent even touched the ps3 yet. Can someone help me with this or tell me what im doing wrong.

The choices are between the Samsung 65F models for either the 46-inch or 52-inch. The price difference right now is less than 500. Anyone have a recommendation?
Or, should I wait for the new line of Samsung models coming out this year? I haven’t seen the reviews out for any of them yet. Thanks.

Are Mitsubishi LCD HDTVs any good? I’ve only seen one Mitsubishi TV in my life and it was one of the huge DLP big screen, Diamond I think the brand was. It was very clear for a large big screen from years back. But anyway I found a nice looking 52 inch Mitsubishi LCD TV on CL for $600 and was wondering if it was a good deal and if Mitsubishi make quality TVs. Thanks!
Oh I’m sorry guys, the CL doesn’t stand for clearance, it stands for CraigsList. I probably should have been more specific.

I am looking to buy a lcd hdtv and wanted to hear if anyone had suggestions for 46-52 inch. I like to play xbox 360, and the previous hdtv had a small but noticeable lag from when a button is pressed to when it shows up on the tv. Any suggestions?

I dont know a lot about tv’s but I am wondering what would be the best lcd hdtv for around $600. I am definitely concerned with image quality and sound clarity, but my main concern is the video lag. my 52 inch tv in my den has a lag when scrolling with IO digital cable. from what i understand, some tv’s have that problem and some dont (not sure the cause myself). anyway my main question is what is my best bet for a lcd hdtv for around $600. i am an avid video game player and movie watcher so a reliable and clear tv is what i am looking for. eventually i plan on getting a blu ray player as well.
