plasma or lcd? which is better or maybe led?

where gonna buy a tv and its gonna be around 42 to 52 inches so which is better. we dont really want the led cause that looks really breackable. plus which is more affordable?

Plasma or LCD, and why please.?

Looking at Samsung 52 inch. Used plasma for $1000. Just purchased at Christmas. Wants to sell because sunlight hits it and he can’t see screen.

I currently own this TV….

http://www.amazon.com/Samsung-LN52A550-52-Inch-1080p-HDTV/dp/B001415EMI/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1265406995&sr=1-4

I was going to sell it and upgrade to this TV…

http://www.amazon.com/Panasonic-VIERA-TC-P58S1-58-Inch-Plasma/dp/B002IKA1S6/ref=sr_1_fkmr0_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1265406929&sr=1-1-fkmr0

Now, look at both TV’s…and tell me….would selling the LCD and spending $600 more, and buying the Plasma be worth it? Would the Plasma last me longer and would the picture look alot better? I watch alot of blu rays and sports, thats it. So all I care about is the best HD picture.

Also, rumor has it Panasonic Plasmas are having issues so Im taking that into consideration to.

Would getting the Plasma be worth it and give me a better picture?

Ok. My wife and I have never bought a tv other than the old fish bowl types. Now, we are venturing out to get a flat screen. There are a few options out there. I’ve been told by many people that 1080 is way better than 720 and that plasma is better than LCD. I’ve got to tell you, I really cant tell too big a diff when I go to the store and see them all right next to each other. I mean, I see a 52 inch 720 for $900, then I see a 46 inch 1080 for $1300. I mean, wheres the biggest bang for my buck? Do I stick with the 720 and just look for the biggest size that could be many inches larger than a comparably priced 1080p? Any suggestions?
Our living room is very dark and we would be sitting 10 to 15 feet away from the tv. Also, maybe a xbox 360 game or two if im lucky.

What is better, LCD or Plasma?

I just bought a 52 inch Plasma Samsung (720p) Because I got a great price on the floor model but when I got it home and hooked it up to my satellite it looked really bad. I don’t have an HD box yet so I thought was the problem but It still looked bad with the Wii & Xbox. I wonder, Is the tv bad quality or is it just my set up. Should I take it back & get an LCD? I don’t really need such a big tv but I thought this was a good deal.
Note: I am a gamer & watch a lot of action movies. Which one has a better picture without motion blur? This one has a lot of motion issues.

I need to know…Lcd or Plasma?

I’m in the market for a HD TV, in the 46-52 inch range after my bulls*** a** Vizio broke down just after 1 year. That was an LCD. Recently a friend recommended a Plasma because of what I use the television for. Im not the kinda guy who watches the Discovery Channel, the TV will mainly be on ESPN, hooked up to the PS3, or watching Blue-Ray movies. Let me know what you think that is within a reasonable price of around $1000-1800. Please don’t recommend a $4000 Pioneer TV, I’m not handling like that. Thanks

Top Plasma and LCD HDTVs that fit my price range?

I’m looking into buying a new HDTV this spring. I am still unsure whether to go with plasma or LCD because I’m not sure if it’s going in my well lit living room, or my dim basement. My price range is something in between 2000-3000$. Definitely not more than 3000$. Also, I’m looking into the 46-52 inch class for my TV. What would you say are the top plasma and LCD HDTVs that fit my price range?

I have already been looking into the Panasonics with THX mode and some Pioneers. You can include them in your list though.

Thanks a lot!
If you’re wondering, I’m going to connect it to my PS3 and a HDPVR cable box.
So is Samsung really one of the top TV manufacturers out there? I really didn’t know that.

Which is it Plasma or LCD? Help me decide.?

I am looking for a 50-52 inch TV. Not sure which way to go plasma or lcd.

plasma or lcd for gaming?

i play xbox 360 alot and ps3 and want the best picture for under 2,000. i was going for the Panasonic TH-50PZ85U then i heard about burning but then i read that this has game mode and that plasma has the best picture qulity.this tv is 1900 at bestbuy. or lcd the samsung 6 series 46 or 52 inch. i want the biggest screen possible.

LCD vs Plasma? Which one to choose?

I’m looking to purchase a new TV in the near future and would like to know what the basic differences are and which one is “better”.

I’m looking to buy a 46-52 inch TV.

All I know is that LCD’s last longer than Plasma’s, but the Plasma’s are cheaper and sometimes produce a better picture quality.

Any help is appreciated.
