Ok. My wife and I have never bought a tv other than the old fish bowl types. Now, we are venturing out to get a flat screen. There are a few options out there. I’ve been told by many people that 1080 is way better than 720 and that plasma is better than LCD. I’ve got to tell you, I really cant tell too big a diff when I go to the store and see them all right next to each other. I mean, I see a 52 inch 720 for $900, then I see a 46 inch 1080 for $1300. I mean, wheres the biggest bang for my buck? Do I stick with the 720 and just look for the biggest size that could be many inches larger than a comparably priced 1080p? Any suggestions?
Our living room is very dark and we would be sitting 10 to 15 feet away from the tv. Also, maybe a xbox 360 game or two if im lucky.
I am in the market for a new t.v. an LCD to be more precise but i only want to spend a max of about 1500 dollars and want either a Samsung Or Sony. I can find many t.v.’s like this for 1500 but it is a 46 inch. But i wanted to get a 52 inch so my question is IS 5 INCHES ENOUGH OF A DIFFERENCE TO PAY 500-600 DOLLARS MORE FOR OR SHOULD I JUST GET THE 46 INCH? Also any other t.v. reccomandations are appreciated
ok i have a Samsung LN52A650 52-Inch LCD tv it is widescreen I have the ever lasting problem that when im watching cable tv that isnt high def becausee we havnt ordered high def from our provider yet it stretches and makes everything fat i like to have the full screen (16:9) but the other one looks better (4:3) so my question is if we get HD will that make the picture widescreen or will we still be dealing with the stretched picture also if we cant do thatwhich do you guys perfer 16:0 or 4:3
I have a 52 inch Sony Bravia. It has a scratch about 1mm in diameter right in the middle of the screen. The scratch is only visible while the TV is turned on. From a small distance it looks like there is a small white dot on the TV screen. Does that mean the pixels inside are damaged?
We just got a 52 inch LCD TV and a Playstation 3. We are in front of our new TV for hours. Is this bad for your eyes? Should I worry about my kids sitting too close?
