Ultra Quality Component
Will these components successfully run Battlefield 2, CoD 4, and the likes?
I’m custom building a gaming PC so I can run the high end games with decent quality. Will these components I’ve selected run games like CoD and Battlefield?
CPU: Intel Core 2 Quad q8400 (2.66 GHz with a 1333 MHz FSB)
Video Card: BFG GeForce 9800 GT OC+
RAM: OCZ Dual Channel 4GB PC6400 DDR2 800MHz
Motherboard: Evga nForce 750i SLI FTW (1333+ MHz FSB)
PSU: Ultra LSP750 750-Watt
Hard Drive: Seagate Barracuda 250GB Hard Drive 2700 RPM
So this is the gist of what I plan on putting in the system. Please tell me if this will work or not for my purposes. If you need any more info on the components just ask and I’ll put in an edit.
That’s similar to my PC except I have 8800GTX, 4gb 1066MHz ram and X-fi soundcard. I run BF2/2142 on highest settings @ 1680×1050 resolution.
Remember there are better games coming out soon like Cod: Modern Warfare 2 and Battlefield Bad Company 2 which will probably need a more powerful system to play on high, I guess it’s down to whether you will be happy playing the game on medium settings.
My Pc is over a year old, i plan to wait to see how it runs BF:Bad Company 2 then upgrade if I have to, in your case you might be better off saving your money for 4 months, there will be better hardware for less money.
