Is there an adapter for new dell laptop hard drives to SATA or USB?
We use a lot of dell laptops, Latitude D420′s D430′s etc. I’d like to be able to hook them to a SATA-USB Adapter that I have to recover data sometimes. But the drive’s only connector seems to be a ribbon cable that runs into the motherboard. Is there a way to convert this to a standard SATA connector somehow?
You can easily buy this kind of adapter on Ebay. Try to search for “1.8 drive adapter”. You can choose the best solution for what you need – I still prefer the 3.5 IDE.
