The P2000 was designed with the office environment in mind. It looks like a large desktop printer and is simple to operate. Additionally, the binding punch must have a special Proclick Pronto oversize square hole die set. Currently these die sets are only available for GBC modular punches and I do not believe that Rhino-Tuff or Renz are planning on releasing this dieset for their machines any time soon. The supplies for this machine must be purchased in special cartridges in order to be used by this machine. It cannot be used with loose binding spines or any other type of binding supplies. GBC is the only company that makes supplies for this machine and the supplies can be difficult to find at a discount.

Recommendation:The Proclick P2000 binding system offers one of the fastest binding experiences available from any binding style on the market. Documents bound with this system also look great, offer the ability to completely wrap around and can be easily edited. These things are making Proclick one of the hottest new binding styles in the United States. This machine is a great choice for large organizations or print shops that either already own a GBC modular binding punch or can justify the purchase of a new binding punch. However, this is not a good system for organizations that need to bind custom sized documents, need custom colored binding spines or for companies who don’t own a modular binding punch.
