Vcr Gold Plated
Is this tin or something else?
I heard about the dangers of mixing tin and gold together. I have a surround sound system and the speakers plug into the subwoofer with those same kinds of plugs that you use to connect a vcr/dvd player to a tv. I needed to use some extension cords to make them reach and I have gold plated adapters to connect the extension cords to the speakers. The speaker plugs have that metal that looks like silver. Is this actually tin and if so do I have to worry about anything?
Most likely its chrome plated steel. Tin’s probably much too expensive to be used there.
