Video Svhs Cable
Does connecting an hd cable box with both component and s-video effect video quality?
I recently received HD for the first time and I’m using component cables straight to TV. But I’d like to be able to record using my SVHS VCR. I tried to split the cable between the VCR and the digital cable box so I can still receive analog signal to my VCR, but the video quality on many of the channels was diminished. If I decide to connect the digital cable box to my VCR through an s-video cable as well as my box to the TV with component video cables, will this take anything away from the digital picture? Particularly will it negatively effect my high-definition picture? Thanks!
EDIT: I know the picture quality will not be as good through the VCR, even through s-video, but will the picture quality through the component video feed be adversely effected by having the box connected to two inputs (like a splitting effect)?
yes it will affect it if the vcr isnt HD you are wasting time trying to watch Hd cable on it. a little hint. get a firecracker, spray wd-40 on the vcr, pour gas on it, then put the firecracker on it and light it and run.
